Leading the structures input providing technical leadership for the development of the detailed design solutions providing project documentation to support building consent and construction for the early works package for the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) including the design of the 103m skewed Jacobs Ladder Truss bridge, 4No. large span (50m) Pratt truss sign gantries, 1.2km of 5m high noise walls and 2.6km of varying height retaining wall structures. Close liaison with the geotechnical team saw the development of bored cast in place piled solutions for the: footbridge, gantry’s and noise walls, required as due to inconsistent ground conditions due to the nature of reclaimed engineered fill.
